Altec Lansing North America

The Party Starts Here!

Altec Lansing Adds Spectacular New Audio-on-the-Go Products For iPod, XM Radio and Beyond.

In the end, sound is about more than watts or decibels or digital technology.

It’s about the listening experience, those precious moments when the heart is touched or the spirit transformed.

The promise of the Altec Lansing brand is that our sound artisans will continue the legacy of blending art with science to stir the soul.

inMotion™ iM7 — iPod ‘Party Starter

Altec Lansing’s inMotion iM7 Portable Speaker System (MSRP $249.95) transforms the iPod’s internal sound system into room-filling audio that rivals traditional home stereos.  This boombox-sized unit is a striking silver and white tube that goes anywhere from the kitchen to the beach, pumping out the biggest and fullest sound of any product in its class.  The patent-pending cradle springs open at the touch of a finger, easily adjusts to fit any dockable iPod, and closes to keep the player securely in place.  The system recharges the iPod as the music plays, runs off battery or AC power, and can also be used with devices like laptops and portable DVD players.

SA1 — iPod shuffle Adapter for inMotion™ Speakers

iPod shuffle owners deserve out-loud listening, too, and now they can have it with Altec Lansing’s SA1 Adapter for the iPod shuffle (MSRP $39.95).  The device makes it possible to dock the tiny iPod shuffle on any inMotion speaker system built for iPod players, letting the music play loud and proud even though the shuffle is no bigger than a pack of gum.

inMotion™ iMX2 and XM3020 — Speaker Systems for XM2Go Receivers

Altec Lansing’s portable inMotion iMX2 (MSRP $149.95) and desktop XM3020 (MSRP $99.95) speaker systems bring bigger and better sound to XM Satellite Radio’s XM2go receivers for an improved listening experience beyond the car.  Plug your XM2go Pioneer, Tao or Delphi receiver into the universal docking station of either unit, and you can listen to live or stored XM broadcasts through full-range neodymium drivers with bass enhancement.  Both systems also charge the receivers while they are docked.  The iMX2 tucks easily into a briefcase, suitcase or backpack.

The XM3020 includes an external home antenna that improves XM reception.

AHP712i Headphones — Less Noise, Easier Packing

Private listening to music, movies and games is better than ever with Altec Lansing’s new AHP712i Headphones (MSRP $149.95), thanks to active noise reduction technology and a closed ear-cup design that combine to block external noise sources like airplane engines and subway rumbles.  The headphones feature high-performance 40mm neodymium drivers for accurate sound reproduction, a foldable design for easy packing, an adjustable padded headband and earpads for long-lasting comfort, a multi-function controller, and a carry bag.
